Accommodation Centre and Community Facilities

Design and delivery of accommodation facilities, a multi-purpose community space, and visitor reception facilities. Developed through a close collaborative process with the NGO's Director, the project sought to create a welcoming environment that supports education, community engagement, and social development.

The buildings employ locally sourced natural materials, including thatched roofing and woven wall construction, combined with passive environmental design strategies to maximise natural ventilation and thermal comfort. Rainwater harvesting and recycling systems were integrated as part of a broader commitment to sustainable resource management.

Rooted in Cambodian vernacular architecture, the project demonstrates how simple, low-cost, climate-responsive design can deliver meaningful social impact while creating a strong sense of place and identity.
